Candance (Candy) Weaver

Candy Weaver is the Administrator for the Cohen
Lab and office. Her support with grant and financial
adminsitration adds to the overall success of
the Lab. She and her husband of 16 years reside
in Belmont, MA.
Candy recently finished her two year term as
Co-convener of the MIT Working Group on Support
Staff Issues (WGSSI) and is the Co-chair of the
WGSSI Prof. Dev. Subcommittee. Her passion for
the Working Group resides in seeing MIT support
staff reach their full potential in their careers,
as well as helping people develop a healthy work/life
balance.
Candy graduated from Harvard University with
a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies
(cum laude) in the Social Science of Psychology
and has a citation in Linguistics. Candy's outside
interests range from holding a Massachusetts state
horseback riding instructor certification where
she thrives on using horses to teach ages 4 to
74 life lessons, to employing her international
travels to support the establishment and advancement
of schools and educational initiatives in developing
nations.
