GRADUATE SEMINAR 1999
Seminar in Technology, Archaeology, and the Deep Sea
Rather than ordering coursebooks at the MIT Coop, they are instead available for order from Amazon.com. The books are nicely discounted, and the savings on the Delgado volume alone is more than the cost of overnight shipping.
Delgado's excellent encyclopedia incorporates articles from numerous experts in the field, and includes useful reference information after the entries. This is the main textbook for the class and will be used for nearly every week's reading assignment.
Broad, who reports on deep submergence for the New York Times, relates his personal experiences with deep water science and archaeology and places them in a broader scientific context.
