Implementation

From an implementation perspective, Dspace offers many challenges in the areas of metadata, rights management, community architectures, integration, longevity, and scalability.

The team has authored several design documents which describe the project, its structure, the system definition, architecture, and current implementation direction and status.

We have also proposed some content guidelines for the material that DSpace will house. These guidelines are informing our decisions regarding DSpace architecture, functionality, and implementation.

Several Use case scenarios describe our understanding of how individuals in various roles will interact with DSpace.
