Did you know?

Grounds Services employees installed the garden honoring the work of Vicky Sirianni, former head of the Department of Facilities from 1993 to 2004 when she retired. Ms. Sirianni’s favorite shrub is the lilac.

The Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua) tree and three benches beside the Sirianni Garden were "dedicated to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and its mission by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Commemoration of his visit to MIT on April 29, 2009."
