TR 4:50-6:30
location: 32-155

This course presents a detailed exploration of the relationship between the standard methods of diachronic linguistics and contemporary theoretical perspectives on the nature of language, with a view to uncovering how each of these two approaches may inform pursuits within the other. The focus will be on phonology and syntax, with some consideration given to issues such as reconstruction methodology.
