Introduction
Educational Collaboration Space is a freely available web-based tool which aims to facilitate exchange of ideas among educators teaching similar classes, record accumulated wisdom, and archive classroom material. ECS is a specially built WordPress site, featuring a unique theme, a suite of carefully designed plugins, and detailed site help and installation instruction pages. The WordPress architecture makes it easy to customize its appearance and add functionalities.

There’s a lot of software about students communicating with each other and with their professor, but not very much about building a community of educators.

NB PDF Annotation Tool

Introduction
NB (nota bene) is a web-based collaborative annotation tool that facilitates communication among students and their instructors, centered around better understanding of course reading material.

Designed by the Haystack Group in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT, NB reflects the collective efforts of Prof David Karger and graduate student Sasha Zyto.
