MIT School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences soundings
Fall 2003 [ Previous issues ]

Message from Dean Khoury

Dean Philip S. KhouryGreetings from MIT's School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Longtime readers of our newsletter will notice a new look for this Fall 2003 issue. After more than a decade of publication, we've decided it's time to update our image. We've also recently changed the look and feel of our web site, at http://web.mit.edu/shass/, and we invite you to come explore the new site.

In part, these changes will improve the efficiency and appearance of our portals to the outside world. But there's another reason for the change. SHASS is a dynamic, invigorating, and exciting place: a place that stimulates curiosity and rewards creativity—and we want to share this environment with our friends and readers. We hope you enjoy the new soundings . . . and the new SHASS web site!
