SUMMER FELLOW PROJECT CONTINUATION
This project was continued as a fellowship by Tish Scolnik and Wenxian Hong at Mobility Care and the KCMC Wheelchair Workshop in Tanzania. The students worked with technicians at the workshops to transform their bench-level test devices into full folding wheelchair prototypes. At the time this information was posted (Sept. 2007), Mobility Care and the KCMC Wheelchair Workshop were in the middle of long-term user testing. Initial response from users has been very positive and both shops plan to put the folding chair into production when they complete testing.

Tish's summer fellowship website
Tish Scolnik has compiled a fantastic website that chronicles her project's development in Tanzania. Along with presenting information on the folding 3-wheeled wheelchair, the site also showcases her work on making add-ons to wheelchairs so the user can run a small buisness.
