Submission Requirements

Digital video from any source is acceptable: video cameras, digital cameras, cell phones. Contestants may also borrow video cameras.

Content Criteria/Guidelines

Video length/file size: up to 5 minutes (maximum) and 100 MB.

File formats: most common formats such as - .mov, .avi, .wmv, and .m4v

*By submitting videos to this contest, entrants agree to allow MIT, and it's affiliates, the right to use their works in publications and MIT promotional materials giving full credit to the owner of the video (that's you!).*

Entrants must agree to "terms of use" when uploading videos to MIT TechTV website, including:

NOTE: Entrants will be provided complete "terms of use" agreement for their review and acceptance at time of submitting videos online on MIT TechTV.

Style and Subject Ideas

Quality of the content/message is important; quality of the production is less so. However, consider the limitations of your technology (e.g., a narrative with lots of dialogue may not come across well if you're shooting with a cell phone because of poor-quality audio). Check out Tips & Support.
