Assessing
One of the four workshops that led to this project website was devoted to "understanding and measuring change," and the series as a whole was motivated to a significant degree by the challenges facing evaluators in an ambitious Chicago initiative (see "About Us"). Our Knowledge-in-Action Brief 07-2 ("Stocks, Flows, and Dreams: Understanding and Shaping Neighborhood Change" [PDF]), which includes tested approaches and testable innovations as well, should be of particular interest to evaluators, as well as other researchers and analysts. And all three of our briefs include detailed lists of further reading and other resource for reference. You can find ideas to help you design better studies, get them funded, share clear and concise rationales with clients and partners, and more.
