The sense rod lifter holds the sense rods up, disengaged from the programming hardware of the bit assemblies.
This picture shows a partially assembled sense rod lifter.
And here we see an assembled sense rod lifter. NOTE that it is easier to mount the sense rod lifter on the control frame before fully assembling it.
The yellow (arity 5) connectors with the blue struts attatched are mounted on the control frame They pivot on the yellow struts between the white (arity 8) connectors on the control frame, just inside the red (arity 3) connectors.
The assembly of green (arity 4) connectors and white struts in the left of the picture engage with the actuator back-block lifter to raise the actuator back-block once the actuator rods are in position.
