Gather.Town

Attached here is the Gather.Town map shown at the start of the plenary sessions.

Also, please note that, due to the size of the meeting, the site has to be hosted on more than one server so that, when one enters an area with a different server (going between lobbies and to the breakout rooms), you have to hit enter and join Gather.Town again. It takes a few seconds but does not require the password again.

The poster sessions and Grad Fair, as well as the cafe, beer garden/maze and recreation room can be reached from the lobbies (cafe and grad fair from lobby east, beer garden and rec room from lobby west). The NNDC booth is in both lobbies, the APS journal booth can be found in lobby east only.

The parallel sessions in rooms Ballroom B, Statler, Studio 1, Stuido 2, The Loft, Park & Scollay, and Berkeley & Clarendon are in Breakout Hall West.

The parallel sessions in rooms Copley & Kenmore, Whittlier, Tremont, Arlington, Georgian, White Hill and Terrace are in Breakout Hall East.

The parallel sessions in the breakout halls can be reached by either going directly between them or by going down to the lobby again and switching lobbies.

We hope you will enjoy networking in the Gather.Town platform and that you enjoy the meeting.

  2. You will be prompted to enter the meeting ID - the nine (9), ten (10), or eleven (11) digit ID provided to you by the host, followed by #.
  3. If the meeting has not already started and join before host is not enabled, you will be prompted to enter the host key to start the meeting, or to press # to wait if you are participant.
  4. You will be prompted to enter your unique participant ID. This only applies if you have joined on the computer or mobile device or are a panelist in a webinar. Press # to skip.
