Tim the Beaver

TIM, the MIT Beaver, can only be used by recognized MIT student organizations or departments. Use of the costume is restricted to the MIT Cambridge campus. Applications for the costume are available online through the CAC website at renttim.mit.edu. The costume is available for pick up and drop off any day of the week between 8 AM and 11 PM. There is a rental fee of $25 for student organizations and $50 for MIT departments. Renters can provide their own performers to wear the costume, as long as performers complete online training and sign a liability waiver. CAC may be able to provide a set of 2 student performers for an additional $30 per hour. An account number is required when reserving the costume. The reserving organization will be held responsible for any damage caused to the costume. Reservations for the costume must be made a week in advance. The costume may not be kept overnight or taken off-campus.
