Project Abstract:

Robotic Mapping addresses the problem of acquiring spatial models of physical surroundings through inputs from the sensor model of a mobile robot. This problem is considered one of the most important problems in pursuit of building autonomous robots. A
wide array of probabilistic algorithms have been discovered and applied successfully in static environments. We aim at using multimodal sensor inputs for generating reliable maps in dynamic environments.
