Empowerment
The UA exists to serve you. It was not established to push the agenda of its leaders. It was not established to focus on internal reform. Unfortunately, Senate meetings tend to concentrate on how it can improve its efficiency and phrase its opinions.
The UA needs to change its focus to students. While we have our own ideas, we will act on your desires, not our own. The UA needs to represent you. We will do this by defending the tradition and values that make MIT unique, by advancing the changes that impact your life, and by restoring communication with you.
