TECHNICAL DIRECTION

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR: MIKE KATZ

As Technical Director for Theater Arts, Michael Katz has the enviable task of working with some of the best students at MIT Michael has had the privilege of holding high level technical positions in many of the finest Boston area theater companies including: The American Repertory Theatre, The New Repertory Theatre, The Boston Lyric Opera, The Opera Company of Boston, and The Jewish Theater of New England. He has taught at Emerson College, Tufts University , Bridgewater State College as well as presenting a number of seminars at the New England Theater Conference, and at the United States Institute for Theater Technology. Michael holds an MFA in Technical Production from Boston University as well as a BFA in Technical Theater from Carnegie Mellon University.
