MIT Student Computer Use Patterns
A survey of MIT students was conducted to gain insight into the
computer use patterns of MIT students. Paper surveys were distributed
to students.
The following questions were asked on the survey:
- Do you own a computer?
- What is your Major?
- What is your Gender?
- What are the Top 3 Activities You Use Your Computer For?
- Do you Leave Your Computer On Even When You are Not Using
It?
- Would you be willing to stop using your computer or delay
purchasing a computer
and use Athena and a free PDA-like Device provided by MIT?
- What do you plan to do with your computer when it becomes
obsolete?
