Our Proposal:

 

The Central Office (C.O.)

 

We propose a central office in charge of all computing at MIT.  In other words, this office would be in charge of all computer flows – into, out of, and within the Institute.  We feel that such a model would benefit MIT, the environment, and the surrounding community.  It would also be a model for other institutions to emulate.  Centralizing the computer resources would provide:

• Economical Use of Assets
