LSA.302 | Introduction to Anatolian

H. Craig Melchert
MW 4:50-6:30
location: 32-D461

An introduction to the ancient Indo-European languages of Anatolia. The focus will be on a synchronic description of the respective phonology, morphology and syntax with text samples.

Systematic coverage of diachronic issues will be brief, but questions will be welcome. No knowledge of Indo-European linguistics will be assumed. Familiarity with an ancient Indo-European language will be helpful.
