These documents explain. in more-or-less abstract terms, concepts and ideas behind CVS, without discussing the less relevant implementation and interface details.
After you become familiar with how CVS is supposed to work, you will need to install MacCVS anc CWCVS and properly configure them. These documents lead you through the process.
A guide to CVS commands and options. A simplified version of the full CVS manual, concentrating on features and options more likely be be used (or confused). Sprinkled with useful examples.
Additional documentation, bridging the gap between the UNIX CVS documentation and Macintosh CVS tools.
