- Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
- The study of how people work with computers and how computers can be designed to help people use them effectively.
- Heuristic Review
- A technique for finding usability problems within a user interface. A small number of trained evaluators separately inspect a user interface by applying a set of "heuristics," or broad guidelines that are generally relevant. The results are combined and ranked by the importance of each problem to prioritize fixing each problem.
- Human Factors
- The field that studies the role of humans in human-machine systems and how systems can be designed to work well with people, particularly with regard to safety and efficiency.
