Innovation Grant - Scope and DurationThe grant will cover innovations from all emerging technologies (medical, biotech, medical device, environment, transportation, energy, information technology, nanotechnology, etc). There are no limitations. Innovation Grant funding must be able to complete a prototype design and testing or a pivotal proof-of-concept experiment in 18 months. The Innovation Grant of up to S$250,000 will cover a two (2) year development cycle. At the end of the first year, the progress will be reviewed before continuation to the second year funding. For projects deemed too early, where the go-to-market strategy is not clearly understood or the technology is at a very early stage, an Ignition Grant of up to S$50,000 will be rewarded covering a 6 to 12 month period of early development. Upon successful completion of an Ignition Grant, the faculty and the research team can apply for a full Innovation Grant. |
