LESTER WOLFE WORKSHOP IN LASER BIOMEDICINE
Nanoparticles in Biomedicine:
Let There be Light!
In recent years there has been an explosion in research on biomedical applications
of nanoparticles. This workshop will explore the role of optics and photonics in
this interdisciplinary field. Topics include gold nanoparticles for cancer diagnosis
and therapy, fluorescent quantum dots for imaging disease, and novel approaches
to drug delivery and tissue engineering.
