Concept: Easy Off Button

Ectera has chosen to develop the EASY OFF concept. During the concept refinement period, the team has broken into different directions that serve the same user experience, one that is a refinement of the previous mechanical switch idea and others that take an electronic and wireless approach.

Concepts are directed at switching power off from the outlet and not specifically to a wired-in power strip. This is done via an outlet junction. The junction allows the user to plug anything into the EASY OFF button and control whether or not power is flowing into that device. The user device may be a power strip but it could be anything else as well. This allows the EASY OFF system to be versatile and also allows it to be used by people who already have a power strip.
