2.744 Class Project Spring 2010

The project goal for this term is to design MIT, or MIT museum, inspired products for the MIT museum shop, with the possibility of launching new products in conjunction with the MIT 150 celebration that begins in 2011.

Throughout the course of the semester we have brainstormed countless ideas and made sketch models of three of our favorites. These have been a fire hydrant hose inspired drinking cup, a baking pan in the shape of the symbol Pi, and electronic inspired accessories.

For the concept refinement we have chosen to expand the electronic accessories lineup with several exciting products, including a resistor inspired sunglass case, a microchip inspired backpack and a resistor inspired pencil bag.
