Microchip External Hard Drive Case: InspirationTo view the original storyboards, click here. This product was inspired by the idea of making an electronic circuit component into an everyday use accessory. The idea of making a microchip into an external hard drive case arose from observing the natural shape of the microchip and the first thought that came to mind was how boxy and rigid the microchip looked. Naturally, the idea of using this shape as a protective case followed, and the concept below was conceived. This idea is both geeky and can be easily adapted to the MIT 150 celebration theme as will be seen later. These webpages will focus on developing the solid models to help visualize the mechanics of the product as well as rendering drawings to better portray how the final product would likely look.
