Create your name with grease
Inspired by the many Arthur Ganson kinetic sculptures at the MIT Museum, this piece is a kinetic sculpture similar in style that lets you create your name in grease-like ink. Visitors come to this kiosk and arrange the letterforms how they want, most likely to spell their name. As the arm of the sculpture lowers the container, it spills ink into the arranged type. Each letterform acts as a funnel, directing the ink to fall on the paper below and creating a one-of-a-kind rendition of their name in splattered ink. This interactive kiosk allows visitors to the museum to create a more personal experience for themseleve as well as provide a unique souvenir of their visit.
