Different SciFi sub-genres can be imagined depending on the story line. 5Wits might want to go with a classic SciFi look (dark setting, chamfered edges etc.) or a modern look (white shiny panels, transparent section, aluminum details etc.). Therefore, the purpose of this rendering is to provide a better understating of how 46andTWO envisions the environment.
The tall-standing engine can easily become the centerpiece of a room. Visitors will have space to walk around it and explore the room. All panels cannot be seen from one specific location, which forces visitors to move around and to communicate with each other. The charging station has two rows of holes, to accommodate easy fuel rod switch and re-setting. When the group leaves the room, the color indication can be switched (from red to green if this color scheme is used), and adjustment of other placement indicators like the progress map on the wall can be done.
The engine is designed keping visitors in wheel chairs in mind, even though the design feature could have been more significant in the rendering. As seen in the picture the engine narrows down at the base to make sure visitors in wheel chairs can get close to the engine. For the charging panel this has not been taken in to consideration. However, there is nothing extruding from the station and the angle of the panel is quite steep, and can potentially be made even steeper, which could make it possible for visitors in wheel chairs to reach the rods better. Alternatively a similar profile applied to the lower section of the engine can be added to the charging station as well.
The control scheme is designed to provide participants consistent visual and auditory feedback and guidance through the task. It can be completely automated, with the help of the unique identification contacts for fuel rod and receptacle pairs. Further, the scheme allows modification during gameplay to adjust difficulty and time.
