Our final product is a resistor inspired pencil case with several electronic inspired accessories. The individual pieces are described in detail below. |

The first part of our final product is a resistor inspired pencil case. It was made via the process described on the implementation page. It incorporates our fabric featuring fun electonic characters and holds all the rest of our accessories. It is quite sturdy as it holds the resistor shape with plastic, but has a nice texture because of the fabric on the outside. It is long enough to hold regular length wooden pencils and wide enough to contain all the pens and pencils one would need on a regular basis. |
Zipper Pulls |

To add a little more personality to the case, the zipper has a "zipper pull" attached. It is simply one of the characters from the fabric design laser etched on to clear plastic and then colored with some colorful paints. Included in the case are several diffent zipper pulls, so that the user of the product can customize their case by choosing their favorite and really make the case their own. |
Pencil Grips |

As our final product is a pencil case, what is more appropriate than to include pencils? To make these pencils, we painted colorful pencil grips with stripes to make them look like resistors and painted the pencils to look like wire. The final result is a collection of resistor pencils. |
Branding |

In working with our product over the last several weeks, we realized that the characters on the fabric have become a major focus. They are pretty great friendly designs that could help us brand our line on future products and extend our brand to other products as well. So, we decided to include some stickers of the characters in the case as well. There are regular stickers that can be placed on notebooks, backpacks, and more as well as vinyl cling-on stickers that can be placed in windows and on glass surfaces. |
Packaging |

The packaging for our case is pretty important. After the initial curiosity in our product is peaked by the case itself, once a person picks it up, we want them to know what they are holding and a little about the contents and its function. The tag will be attached to the zipper. It looks like a resistor with the stripes resembling the colors on the case. The text inside has lots of fun references to electronic and engineering things while describing the function of the case and encouraging the reader to take the product home. It also mentions the pencils and pencil grips contained inside. The inside text can be seen better by clicking on the image above and is printed below . . .
