2010 BE-BMES Executive Board Elections


MIT’s BE-BMES is dedicated to promoting the advancement of biological and medical technologies on campus.  We are not restricted to students majoring or minoring in biomedical/ biological engineering.  We encourage anyone interested in this field and who wants to participate in a more active role to apply!  As an executive board member, you will get to know professors, make industry connections, and organize large-scale events.

Consider being part of the leadership for the student group that has brought you the Merck Poster Session awards, Johnson & Johnson Research Prize, industry tours of Genzyme and Novartis, monthly lecture series, faculty-student luncheons, caffeine study breaks, and special panels on "Choosing a Major" and MD career paths.


Elections Timeline:
Wednesday, Nov. 25: Website open for platform statement submissions
Saturday, Dec. 5: Platform statements due at midnight
Wednesday, Dec. 9: Caffeine Study Break @ 9:30pm in the Mezzanine Lounge (3rd floor Student Center) **note change of date
    - Candidate speeches
    - Online voting begins
Saturday, Dec. 12: Online voting ends
Sunday, Dec. 13: New officers announced
