Residential Life

The Mechanical Engineering track of WTP will be a residential program for summer 2024, with housing and food provided. Details on the dorm will be provided in the spring.

Students who need financial assistance for travel should contact wtp@mit.edu after their acceptance.

Accepted students will be encouraged to bring their own laptops to WTP. Any unable to do so will be provided with a laptop to use during the program.

Daily classes will occur Mon - Fri from approximatly 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Students are expected to complete MITx coursework in the evenings. We will also plan some weekend academic field trips and social outings.

WTP is not a "summer camp" but an intense academic experience, and has a very full schedule of activities. You must focus exclusively on WTP for the 4 weeks and not expect to do other academic work, extracurricular activities, summer jobs, or internships during the program.
