Transportation

A two way transport system exists in order to bring the necessary amounts of equipment and personnel both to and from the Atlantis I research station. A surface naval vessel is responsible for transporting both the transport submersible and its crew from Belize to an area of close proximity to the Blue Hole. The transport submersible is then deployed with its crew and cargo, using its navigation systems to reach the docking pool underneathe the Atlantis I Station. Upon arrival at the Station, its crew members and cargo are both already pressurized from the surface ship's onboard pressurization chamber. The transport subersible brings both food and other supplies into the Station, while wastes are transported back to the surface for disposal. In this manner, research equipment and personnel can be safetly and effectively transported to and from the Station.
