PFlow 2.5 is an X-11 based program for assisting in basic fluid
dynamics education. It is intended to provide students in
the introductory graduate level hydrodynamics course taught at
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Ocean Engineering
Department.
Originally developed in the late 1980s as a module for the
integrated software package "HYDRO", PFlow has gone through
major revisions. The latest version is PFlow 2.5. While the
core ideology is primarily the same as earlier versions,
major development of the GUI was done in 1997 by
C. P. Earls.
The following pages include basic information regarding the
use of PFlow 2.5. Manuevering through this manual can be
