PFlow 2.5 is an X-11 based program for assisting in basic fluid dynamics education. It is intended to provide students in the introductory graduate level hydrodynamics course taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Ocean Engineering Department.

Originally developed in the late 1980s as a module for the integrated software package "HYDRO", PFlow has gone through major revisions. The latest version is PFlow 2.5. While the core ideology is primarily the same as earlier versions, major development of the GUI was done in 1997 by C. P. Earls.

The following pages include basic information regarding the use of PFlow 2.5. Manuevering through this manual can be done via the menu on the left.
