Data points are points of interesting the flow. They can be
added real time or read in via a data file. (see Working with Files for more info
regarding loading data files).
Adding Data Points Real Time
Data points can be added by clicking the add a data point
button.
While in the add data points
mode, click on the point where you would
like the data point to be.
Graphing Data Points
Under the Options menu, select
Show Datapoint Graph. This
opens a graph for various parameters of the flow at the data
points. (see Graph Window for
more information regarding graphs.)
Listing Data Points
Again, under the Options menu,
select Show Datapoint Table.
This opens a window similar to the Singularities Table. The
Datapoint Table lists
the position, the velocity components
and the pressure at each of the data points. From
here, data point positions may be edited by clicking on the
value to edit, entering the desired value, and hitting the
enter/return key.
Dumping Data Points
The contents of the Datapoint Table can be dumped to a file by
pressing the Dump To File button.
This feature allows you to import the data into any
spreadsheet program.
Deleting Data Points
The only way to delete data points is to delete ALL of
them. This is done by pressing the clear data points button.
