Sometimes, customers strike up a conversation. Othertimes, they are clearly worlds apart. Often the store will be filled with twenty individuals each inside his or her own head. They will have their chairs turned away from each other and engage themselves in their reading or writing. Some people listen to music while they drink their coffee. Some people just sit and rest and think.
