ANG TING YANG

Ang Ting YangAt the age of 29, Mr Ang Ting Yang, Class of 2001 S.M. graduate in the IMST programme, already has many achievements under his belt and a bright career ahead of him. He was also featured on The Straits Times for his outstanding contribution to Keppel Offshore and Marine Limited.

Shortly after graduating with a Keppel Corp-sponsored mechanical engineering degree from NUS, Ting Yang successfully secured admission to pursue his S.M. degree at SMA.

Beginning work as a project engineer at Keppel Hitachi Zosen, Ting Yang was later roped in to assist in the merger of Keppel FELS and Keppel Hitachi Zosen as well as facilitate in the acquisition of a subsidiary. Currently, he is an Assistant Project Manager at Keppel Singmarine where he manages both local and overseas shipbuilding projects.

Despite the challenges and wide scope of his job, Ting Yang is unruffled. He cited his S.M. degree as having benefited him by furnishing him with a better understanding of business developmental issues across industries.

The hands-on opportunity to apply his experience while being involved in an array of projects at Keppel has whetted his appetite to learn more about the corporation’s stable of companies and be involved in its future business development endeavours.

“I enjoy the learning process. That is what makes my job interesting,” he says.
