Project Rainbow

The SMAAC collaborated with the Rotary Club of Serangoon Gardens in their annual “Project Rainbow” to help needy senior citizens paint their one-room HBD flats. On 16 January 2005, 10 groups of volunteers from SMAAC were dispatched to flats around Sims Drive to paint the interiors of these senior citizens’ homes in time for them to usher in the Chinese New Year festival. SMA alumni acquainted themselves with the ropes of interior painting as well as bonded together with the senior citizens over this meaningful experience that gave them the opportunity to help others.
