Just in time for the new graduate students to whet their appetite, a flurry of exciting new papers: first, Ruomeng teaches us about intricate details of singlet exciton transfer in MOFs, now out in Chemical Science, then we (i.e. Kevin) make our first forays in purely organic materials, with the first example of a 3D crystalline polymer made by C-C bonds, out in Chem! Finally, Grigorii provides the very first conclusive evidence for metallic behavior in MOFs, with charge-density wave behavior the cherry on the top, now out in PNAS! Exciting times to be joining the Dinca lab!

Two new papers: an in-depth study from Jules detailing the influence of secondary-sphere interactions on gas interaction with open metal sites, in JACS! Harish teaches us about an unusual ion-intercalation mechanism, typically reserved for inorganic solids, now operative in non-porous coordination polymers for enhanced capacitance, out in ACIE!
Summer, 2021
Even though it looked like a sleepy summer, we've been busy with lots of exciting updates. We've learned a lot more about the exciting MOF-derived catalysts for Guerbet chemistry, with two papers from Connie and Mike. Mike also published his studies of an unusual Pd-Tp complex enabled by the original Tpm-MOF designed by Kevin, and most recently Luming has taught us about molecular models of conductive MOFs with trinuclear clusters made from HHTP. Check all these and a few collaborative papers on our publications page! Finally, but certainly not least, we said goodbye to our three newest PhDs: Kevin has joined the Coates lab at Cornell; Luming crossed the pond to join the Benatti group at MPI in Germany, and Grigorii has joined the Schoop lab at Princeton. Congrats all for really innovative theses and good luck with your postdocs!
