Asilomar Conference Grounds: Accommodations

 

 

Accommodations: Asilomar Conference Grounds is a charming ocean front retreat nestled along the shoreline of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. This enchanting combination of forest and white sand beaches creates a breathtaking, tranquil escape from the hectic pace of everyday life. To preserve the refuge atmosphere at Asilomar, guest rooms are free from the distraction of televisions and telephones. A business center is located next to the front desk. All sleeping rooms and meeting rooms are non-smoking. The committee will provide internet access for attendees in Merrill Hall (please bring your own cables).

Rates: Include sleeping accommodations, three meals a day in Crocker Dining Hall, and use of conference rooms. Please see reservation form for pricing. Map of conference grounds (pdf).

Reservations: Attendees are responsible for their own reservations. Reservation forms can be downloaded (word doc). Please mail or fax the reservation form and payment directly to Asilomar. Asilomar does not accept reservations over the phone. Please allow 2-3 weeks for Asilomar to send you confirmation of your reservation. There are several room types; and they are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

Activities: Full and half-day bike rentals available. Outdoor year-round heated swimming pool (no lifeguard) and a sand volleyball court. Ping-pong and billiard tables are available for guest use. Ranger led interpretive walks may be planned through the Park Ranger Office (831) 372-4076. A lending library and board games are available at the Front Desk. Coastal boardwalk and self-guided walking tours are also available.

Off-Ground Attendees: The facility fee for off-ground participants is $32 per person, due upon check-in if not prepaid. Meal tickets for   off-ground attendees may be purchased at the Front Desk on a space available basis.
