This lab is located in 26-139. From any athena unix prompt, you can type "tellme combo", which will give you the code to get into the room. You can use this lab anytime except for when it is reserved .

Use your athena login/password to login. The HST.583 folder can be found in /afs/athena.mit.edu/course/other/hst.583/. Generally, data will be kept here.

Login to Athena.

Open up a web-browser window and go to the course web-site:
web.mit.edu/hst.583/www

Type the following commands at the Athena prompt:

% attach hst.583

Now copy the particular lab data onto the local computer to make things run faster:

% cp -r /mit/hst.583/lab_data/X /tmp/

X is the lab that we are doing that day.
