Alexandre Coelho is a Senior Investment Banker and Vice President for ABN AMRO Bank in Brazil. Alexandre’s professional career has always been in the investment banking area, working with multinational corporations in need of specific investment projects and analyzing companies to assess potential areas in which new businesses could be fostered.

Mr. Coelho is also responsible for leading various different staffs in many divisions (wholesales and retail areas), comprised of managers, analysts, assistants, associates and interns, in areas such as Product Sales, Corporate Finance, Financial Engineering and Capital Markets.

He graduated in Economics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil. He also holds a MBA from the Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP) and a degree in Oceanography also from USP.

Alexandre Coelho is also the founder of two scientific-driven institutions. The first is Aether Centro de Estudo de Ciência, Tecnologia e Interação Terra-Mar Ltda. (Aether Center for Science, Technology and Sea-Earth Interface). Which is a company dedicated to the development and promotion of initiatives on the areas of scientific and technological education, environmental protection, clean energy development and Sea-Earth integration. The second is the Instituto de Ciência Terra-Mar (Sea-Earth Science Institute), which is a private non-for-profit institution.
