Patrick Martel has 14 years of experience in the environment and energy industries. He started his career at Vivendi Water where he was in charge of the management of water contracts. After three years, he entered EDF, an electric utility in France where he had many different positions, beginning as a Salesman and Key Accounts Manager at the opening of the electric market in Europe, then at the Corporate Strategy Division. Just before coming to MIT, he was the Director Europe of Easenergy, the Californian VC of EDF where he helped EDF being more successful by detecting and transferring innovative solutions in the renewable energy businesses.
Patrick holds a Master in Mechanical Engineering from ENSAM, an engineering school in France and a Master in Strategic Management from HEC, a business school in France.
