Please arrive in the meeting room 15 minutes before the session starts. The chair is responsible for running the session. Each session is a maximum of 108 minutes.
The talks in your session will be available on a Google drive created for the meeting.. The Google drive with the talks for your session will be open in the meeting room. There will be a student helper in the room to open the talks but if the student is not available, be prepared to open the files yourself. The talks should be named according to the session name, the speaker name, and the order they appear in the epitome, "Session_LastName_TalkNumber.pdf," e.g., the 5th talk in session D01 should be posted as D01_LastName_5.pdf. The files should be in either pdf or powerpoint formats.
Welcome the participants to the session at the beginning and remind speakers and participants that the DNP meeting adheres to the APS Code of Conduct, and they are to follow it throughout the meeting.
Talks in invited sessions are 36 minutes (30+6). Give 5-minute and 1-minute warnings for invited talks.
Lead talks in minisymposia are 36 minutes (30+6). (Minisymposia includes an invited talk and contributed talks.)
Contributed talks are 12 minutes (10+2). Give a 2-minute warning for contributed talks.
Keep the session on time to allow participants to move from session to session.
If a speaker is absent or an abstract is withdrawn, open discussion from a previous talk or amongst speakers may continue, but the session should be paused until the next talk.
Make sure speakers use the microphone provided for best sound quality.
