What Should I Expect from Course 10.27?


A series of experiments will be available for student groups to work on. Each group will work on 3 separate experiments. You will be divided into groups of 3; each group will spend 6 to 7 afternoon sessions in the laboratory working on an experimental set-up. The precise goals of an experiment will be different from one group to the next, and it will be the responsibility of each group to devise and execute a detailed experimental program which will fulfill their overall goals. Written reporting of work will be required in the form of memoranda and formal reports. Everyone will give one oral presentation during the semester.
