PC-PLOT-IV, which is made up of several program modules, referred to hereinafter as 'the program(s)', contained on the master distribution diskette is the copyrighted property of Microplot Systems Co., Westerville, Ohio. 
               
Use and copying of PC-PLOT-IV is covered by the U.S Copyright statutes which allows awarding of damages and penalties for each illegal copy. 
               
The purchaser may make one copy of the program(s) for backup purposes only or copy the program(s) to a fixed disk system in their computer as long as other persons are not permitted to copy the contents of the fixed disk. 
               
Under no circumstances may a user copy the program(s) to a readily accessible medium such as a computer bulletin board, local area network, or other similar distributed computing network which would allow others the ability to copy the program(s) without the consent or knowledge of the purchaser. 
               
Microplot Systems Co. represents PC-PLOT-IV to be a functional but not necessarily complete emulation of the Tektronix Model 4010/14/27 graphics terminals and the Digital Equipment (DEC) VT-100 character terminal. The -IV+ option adds a partial Tek 4015 emulation. Other than the representations above, PC-PLOT-IV is sold AS-IS. 
               
Microplot Systems Co. will not be liable for any damages relating to the use or inability to use the program(s). Microplot Systems will not be responsible to modify the program(s) to compensate for individual non-standard graphics implementations. Further, Microplot Systems reserves the right to change PC-PLOT-IV without prior notice and to charge users for updated or changed versions. 
               
The purchaser's rights vary by state and some of the above limits may not apply but the purchaser is solely responsible for the selection, setup and use of PC-PLOT-IV based upon the description of the program(s) in this manual. 
               
Return Policy            
               
Only direct, sales- from Microplot Systems can be returned.   PC-PLOT-IV may be returned for credit under the following conditions if the purchaser has: 
               
  *   Requested technical support and the result was that PC-PLOT-IV would not function on their hardware/software environment.   
               
  *   Requested a return authorization within 15 days of shipment     
               
  *   Returned the software to Microplot Systems postage prepaid in reusable condition       
               
  *   Must be accompanied by a signed statement which will include why the return is being made and that the purchaser did not retain any copies of PC-PLOT-IV.
