Get Involved

If you're interested in being a part of MIT Society of Women Engineers, there are plenty of ways to get involved!

Meet the Professionals Dinner In an informal dinner setting, MIT alums from a range of companies including BAE Systems, Mathworks, Teradyne, Genzyme, and Fidelity Investments come to talk to students about their job experiences and answer questions. If you're interested in participating in our next dinner, please contact the career development chairs Karen Li and Karen Zhou

Tech Talk If you're interested in mentoring young women in engineering while teaching them about your company, we have Tech Talks each semester that you can help us put on for our members! One example of a Tech Talk event was about what it's like to be the CEO of a company as a woman. We are open to diverse topics that would help our students in any way in their future careers, and we'd love to hear your ideas! For more information, please email the career development chairs Karen Li and Karen Zhou

A Day in the Life of... Provide a sneak peek to our members of what it's like to work at your company! Write a profile of what a typical day at work is like for you, in addition to any career advice you may be able to offer from your own experience. Then submit either a picture of yourself, your company, or both! Please email these materials to the webmaster, Connie Yee.

Don't forget to join the mailing list setup by the MIT Alumni Association so our chapter can keep track of its members and invite them to alum events held by SWE!
