Parking Spaces

basically for most parking spots on campus, the entrance have gates that are tied to student ids, they will only open if you have a parking.mit.edu account. From that point a few residential services vehicles will come around and have a fixed/automatic scanners to check license plates. For Billing: they have an internal registry of confirmed plates and thats when your MIT accounts, you get charged $11 a day" sometimes less,

-Parking Is Free On Weekends, so literally anywhere, the spot in E51 is very clean. -Whole Foods (near River St) has 24 hr parking.

However residential services vehicle will drive around from 9 AM to 12 PM (sometimes till 2 PM) to check parking. they usually give out dinky green ticket pads as a warning (dont let those stack)

you can sometimes get away with it but worst case scenario they legit will tow you under 3 hr s
