CRI Campus
The
CRI laboratory facilities are located within the gated campus of the
Chulabhorn Research Institute in the Lak si district of Bangkok, Thailand. Security guards are posted at every gate and at every building -
on a 24/7 basis. A diagram of the CRI campus, including the
location of the Chulabhorn Cancer Center and
Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, is attached (below).
Dress Code
CRI
recommends the following dress code while working in the office,
laboratory and
meeting areas of CRI: - Men:
a shirt with a collar, long pants and closed toe shoes.
- Women:
a skirt & blouse or dress and closed toe shoes.
- Please do not
wear T
shirts, pants, sleeveless tops/dresses, shorts and/or sandals.
- Tight and/or
revealing clothing is not appropriate.
CRI
recommends that you bring a “semi-formal” outfit to wear to special
on-site events: - Men
– professionally appropriate shirt/jacket/ tie.
- Women
– professionally appropriate blouse/skirt, suit or dress.
Work Hours
- You
are
expected to be in lab at least during the normal working hours, which
is
between 8 am-5 pm Monday through Friday.
- You
are not expected to work during the weekend.
- Notify
your supervisory if you need to miss work for medical reasons or other
reasons.
- Get prior
approval before making any social or travel plans that will require your
missing work.
Laboratory Safety
- The
nature
of the laboratory work to be performed at CRI will vary by lab and over
time. Your laboratory supervisor should provide a general safety
orientation
before you begin work in the laboratory.
- Minimum safety
gear for lab work
should include a lab coat, safety glasses and (as appropriate) gloves.
These
will be provided by your supervisor.
- If
you are asked to perform a task that you are not familiar with, please
ask your
supervisor to inform you of any recommended safety precautions and
provide any
related training.
