ROV

One of the remotely operated vehicles, namely Tug, will be attached to EVE. It will be attached using a tether that would contain power cables to supply Tug with power, and optical fibers to transfer data between EVE and Tug. The ROV will be used for investigating areas of the vent system which are too small or too dangerous for EVE to explore. In case the ROV gets stuck somewhere and we cannot pull it out, the tether will be detached and the ROV will be left in its place, its position noted and rescued later.
