How MIT Buildings Are Numbered—and Other Mysteries

The 190 buildings in MIT's academic portfolio comprise 13 million square feet, with 7.9 million sq. ft. devoted to academic purposes and 2.9 million sq. ft. to residences. That's just the beginning of the detail about MIT structures that the Department of Facilities updates every day.
